- Acid-free paper. It is beneficial to buy acid-free paper to avoid deterioration of your photos. Your options are endless when it it comes to color, patterns, weights of paper, and sizes.
Note what others around you are using. Try out some of their supplies and tools to see which you prefer. As you grow in your style and preferences, you will demand a larger supply of tools and embellishments.
Today it is unbelievable the amount of embellishments available. Walk the aisle of any of your favorite craft stores or check out the magazines, embellishments are everywhere. If you are overly creative, you can make your own from simple pieces of paper, metals, buttons, and string; just about anything can be an embellishment.
Every book has a story and somehow you have to get it in writing. Acid-free markers are not essential but will be helpful if you decide to journal by hand or create your own captions and titles. Or you could utilize a computer and printer to create and then print out. The options are endless when scrapbooking. It all depends on your style.
